BJ Zellers, President and Founder
Post-graduation, Ms. Zellers refined her sales and marketing skills, spending 20 years working at Fortune 500 companies, including; Kraft, PepsiCo, Utz, Nestle and Anheuser-Busch. Zellers held positions in the sales, operations and marketing areas in the capacity of Key Account Director, General Manager, to her concluding position as a Vice President. It was through this experience BJ had the knowledge and confidence to begin a career in marketing. Consulting for a boutique agency in Bala Cynwyd, PA, and starting her own sports marketing company, Activation Sports Marketing (ASM) in 2008, BJ Zellers has quickly established a prominent list of clients and sport properties on a regional and national basis. As a result of client interest, Ms. Zellers re-launched TKE to have a broader marketing palette to meet a greater variety of marketing needs.
Zellers has always been attracted to supporting not for profit organizations and currently serves on the Athlete Health Organization Executive Board of Directors, Coaches vs. Cancer, Women in Sports Committee, University of Pennsylvania Athletic Board, and the Mid-Atlantic Food Trades Organization Board of Directors. In 2014, BJ Zellers has been recognized by Temple University with a prestigious Alumni Award and the American Cancer Society’s Volunteer of the Year award.
Ms. Zellers resides in the Philadelphia area and finds time to coach and cheer her daughter in her sport experiences.
Brendan Kelly, Project Manager
Brendan spent his undergrad at Temple University as a Communications major where he worked as a referee and supervisor for Temple REC. Graduating in 2009, Brendan then continued his education at Temple, securing his Master’s Degree in Sports Business in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management. It was in this program that he was afforded the opportunities to see the business side of sports and prepared him with skills that could transcend any industry.
Combining his passion for athletics and his education of sports business from Temple University, Brendan brings a competitive, but customer service oriented approach to Marketing by TKE and Activation Sports Marketing that serves our clients well.
